Benjamin Harmon, a proud Michigan native, made Orange County his home in 2007. He graduated with honors in psychology from Arizona State University and began his professional journey as an intern in radiation oncology while training as a medic, eventually dedicating several years to emergency medicine in both pre-hospital and hospital environments.
In 2016, Ben shifted from clinical medicine to administration, joining a small private practice in Irvine. Over the following four years, he successfully transformed that practice into a multidisciplinary, multi-site medical group focused on orthopedic spine surgery and pain management.
Seeking new challenges, Ben moved into academic medicine, where he oversaw clinical operations for the neuroscience and psychiatry divisions at UCR Health. During this period, he also contributed to a health care startup and a nonprofit organization that supports veterans. Additionally, Ben ran his own health care consulting firm, specializing in marketing, web development, and startups.
In his leisure time, Ben enjoys beach outings with his wife and their two young boys. His family shares their home with three rescue dogs—Lily, Toby, and Lucy—and a horse named Glen.
