Diagnostic Imaging

Diagnostic imaging refers to the techniques and processes used to create images of your pet's body or body parts for medical purposes. These images allow your veterinarian to diagnose or re-examine a disease condition or determine if your pet's systems are normal.

There are many forms of diagnostic imaging, including radiographs (x-rays), ultrasound, CT scans, and MRI. Some form of diagnostic imaging is usually required in a thorough medical work-up, or sometimes as part of a general wellness examination. Our hospital offers diagnostic imaging services including radiographs (x-rays) and limited ultrasound. We collaborate with surrounding specialty hospitals to refer any of our patients that are in need of more advanced imaging such as full abdominal ultrasound, echocardiogram, CT, and/or MRI.
