Dr. Jessica Dymun is a Pittsburgh native whose veterinary journey began with Wexford as a veterinary assistant under the leadership of Drs. Jim Childress and Jay O’Leary. We are excited to have her journey come full circle as she joined our staff veterinarian team in January 2024. Dr. Dymun is a graduate of Kenyon College and received her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She has worked at multiple clinics in central PA and has been with the VCA team since 2014. Dr. Dymun returned to her roots in Western PA to be closer to her family. She has a particular fondness for cats, and special interest in feline wellness care and medicine. Dr. Dymun spends her free time with family and friends, taking care of her own pets, and loves to participate in trail running. While in central PA, she also found joy working on her small farm, where her favorite "chore" was tending to the chickens!

"You can learn so much about an animal's condition simply by listening to their owner," she says. "It's very important to have all the facts and then educate clients to make sure they understand everything they need to know about their pets' health care. I love being able to develop that relationship and rapport with both the owners and the pets who come to me for help."
