Dr. Ciarniello is a dedicated intern doctor at VCA Civano, excited to continue her journey in veterinary medicine in her home state. Born and raised in Arizona, Dr. Ciarniello graduated from the University of Arizona in the fall of 2020, completing her degree in just 3.5 years. During her undergraduate studies she held several jobs, including working as a calculus tutor and a mathematics exam preparation leader for the college. Additionally, she was an operations coordinator and counselor for the national nonprofit Camp Kesem, where she helped provide support and summer camp experiences for children affected by a parent’s cancer. Dr. Ciarniello also worked as an animal care shift lead at a local ranch, where she was responsible for the care of up to 100 animals across ten different species. This role further ignited her passion for veterinary medicine and solidified her desire to work with both small, large, and exotic animals.
Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Ciarniello attended the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in August 2024. During her time in vet school, she served as a peer tutor, helping fellow students navigate challenging coursework and fostering a collaborative learning environment. Dr. Ciarniello's main clinical interests lie in zoological medicine and conservation, although she loves her companion animals dearly and is eager to bring her skills and knowledge to the community.
In her free time, Dr. Ciarniello enjoys exploring Arizona's beautiful hiking trails, weight lifting, and indulging in reality TV. She shares her life with her husband and a lovable tripod pitbull named Dublin, who inspires her with his resilience and spirit.
Dr. Ciarniello is committed to giving back to her community and looks forward to helping pets and their owners live happy, healthy lives!
