Nicole Fernandez
Staff Veterinarian DVM

Born and raised on Oahu, Dr. Fernandez was excited to return home after finishing school on the mainland. She received both her bachelor's in Animal Science and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California, Davis. During school, she enjoyed traveling to Thailand for a volunteer trip, working with cattle at the campus dairy, teaching at the school's pastured poultry farm, and contributing to research related to the health and wellbeing of rescue cats and dogs. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery and behavior.

Dr. Fernandez believes that veterinary medicine is a joint problem-solving process, with close collaboration between vet and pet parent. She thoroughly enjoys getting to know her clients and their fur families.

Dr. Fernandez shares her home with one cat, one dog, one fiancé, and plenty of plants. In her free time, she loves watching Survivor, going on spontaneous trips, and trying new boba shops on island.
