Dr. Michael Perkel is originally from New Jersey (about thirty minutes from N.Y.C.). He stayed in his home state for college where he obtained his B.S. in Biology from The College of New Jersey. Dr. Perkel received his D.V.M. from Colorado State University this past May of 2020.

During his time off, he enjoys spending time with his family and menagerie of pets including his tuxedo cat (Midnight), herding mix (Voda), and two guinea pigs (Haggie, Ronnie). Dr. Perkel also enjoys the bevy of outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer. His primary area of interest is small animal internal medicine (specifically endocrinology) and hopes to be an internist in the future. He also enjoys working with small mammals as well.
