Dr. Kathryn LaQuaglia is originally from Denton, Texas, where she completed her undergraduate degree at the University of North Texas. She received her veterinary degree from Texas A&M University in 2016. Following graduation, she completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, and then a three-year residency in small animal internal medicine at North Carolina State University.
During her residency, Dr. LaQuaglia was trained in all areas of internal medicine including endoscopy (esophagogastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy, cystoscopy, and tracheobronchoscopy) and spent time researching side effects of medications used to treat immune-mediated thrombocytopenia. Dr. LaQuaglia has a special interest in infectious diseases, immune-mediated diseases, enteropathies and endocrinology, but she enjoys all aspects of internal medicine. She is also passionate about client education and compassionate care.
