Alex Yaeger
Emergency Veterinarian DVM

Dr. Yeager is originally from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. She graduated with a double bachelor's degree in Biology and Ethnic studies from the University of Colorado Denver in 2017. During her undergraduate career, she started working at VCA Alameda East as an assistant in the Emergency department and fell in love with veterinary medicine. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2021 and completed her clinical year at Oregon State University Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine. During her time at Ross, she was heavily involved in volunteering with feral cats and was in charge of adopting previously feral cats into homes. She then returned to VCA Alameda East as an associate doctor because of her love for this hospital and the patients that she worked with before veterinary school! She is glad to be back with the family that trained and helped her get into veterinary school!

Dr. Yeager's interests include emergency medicine, shelter medicine, and exotic pocket pets. Outside of working, she enjoys hiking, painting, photography, paddle boarding, and traveling. She shares her home with her partner and their eight cats, boxer, and two guinea pigs.
