Dr. Ricardo Sanchez completed his undergraduate degree at University of California, Riverside in June 2005. In May 2010, he earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine Degree from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine.

In July 2011, he completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at Advanced Veterinary Care Center, followed by a surgical internship at Animal Specialty Group in California in July 2012. He complete a second surgical internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in New Jersey in 2013, and stayed on to compete a 3-year small animal surgical residency in July, 2016. After completing his residency, Dr. Sanchez returned to Southern California to join the VCA Advanced veterinary Care Center in August 2016.

Dr. Sanchez enjoys both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, with special interests in minimally invasive procedures and intrathoracic surgery.

On his days off he enjoys hiking, beach activities and spending time with his two dogs “Pokey” and “Homer”.
