Cara has lived in Philadelphia her entire life. She found her love of animals and veterinary medicine while working at the Pennsylvania SPCA. She began working at the VCA Cat Hospital in 2017, while still attending Manor College's Veterinarian Technology program. After graduating, Cara transitioned to emergency and specialty medicine advancing her knowledge and technical skills. In 2021, Cara returned to the Cat Hospital full time as the veterinary technician supervisor leading the hospital's support team.

When Cara is not at the Cat Hospital, she is enjoying Crossfit and spending time with her family, which includes her husband and their 2 dogs, Marnie and Basil, and her 2 cats, Isabella and Kuzco.
