Karen was working for several different companies in administration positions when she saw an ad for an animal caretaker position at VCA Cat Hospital of Chicago. Needing a change and loving kitties, she decided to apply and was hired in November of 2000. Almost 20 years later, she is still here, even after semi-retiring in 2016. Karen says this has been the best and most rewarding work that she has ever done. She also recently adopted VCA Cat Hospital’s resident cat, Bella, to join her kitty, Biskit, at home and complete her family.
