Dr. Joey Mueller joined the team in 2024 and has been a feline-only veterinarian for over 5 years. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. He has chosen to dedicate his career to feline-only medicine because he values the human-feline bond and simply believes that cats are awesome and deserve the best health care possible. 

Dr. Mueller is particularly passionate about feline dentistry, ultrasound, soft tissue surgery, and performing low-stress exams on all his feline patients. He is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, Chicago Veterinary Medical Association, and Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association. 

In his free time, Dr. Mueller enjoys spending time with his cats, home brewing, finding new restaurants and breweries to visit, and playing basketball and golf.
