Dr. Mariah Foose is the most recent addition to the veterinary team at Cat Hospital of Chicago, in August 2013. She earned her DVM from the Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013 after receiving a BS in Veterinary Science from the University of Arizona in 2009.
Dr. Foose shares her home with Pompette, a blind, formerly stray cat adopted from the Tufts Foster Hospital for Small Animals while a student. In the past, she has loved cats with conditions as diverse as FIV, congestive heart failure, arthritis, obesity, pancreatitis, and chronic kidney disease. Dr. Foose is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, Chicago Veterinary Medical Association, and the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association. She has done relief veterinary work for Tree House Humane Society with feral/community and adoptable cats. She is interested in seeking board certification in feline medicine.
