Team Spotlight
Dr. Matthew Price was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. He obtained an undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia. Following that, he went to the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine where he developed an interest in internal medicine. After graduating from veterinary school, he then completed both a rotating internship and residency in small animal internal medicine at NC State. Dr. Price is particularly interested in gastrointestinal disease and immune-mediated conditions. Dr. Jurcak is originally from the Northeast but considers the Midwest home. She is a big Buckeye fan having graduated from The Ohio State University for her undergraduate and veterinary degrees. After veterinary school, she completed her rotating internship here at VCA AVCC, followed by an oncology specialty internship at Auburn University. She then returned to Ohio State to complete her residency in medical oncology and is finishing up a master's in translational pharmacology.
