Dr. Jessica Leto graduated from Louisiana State University's School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2008 and practiced several years in her home town, New Orleans Louisiana prior to moving to Germany with her husband for 4 years. While living in Germany she immersed herself in the language so that she could become fluent in order to apply for her Germany veterinary license to practice.

After a year of language school, she completed a one year rotating internship at Tierklinik Stommeln which is a referral hospital and 24/7 ER. Afterwards Dr. Leto was given the opportunity to work as a diagnostic consultant for IDEXX laboratories and regional manager of southwestern Germany. In September 2016 they returned to the US when her husband, Dr. Timm Gudehus ACVS, was hired as the head of surgery at Purdue's Satellite Equine Surgical Hospital in Shelbyville Indiana.

Since then they have made Indiana their home along with their menagerie of pets, 4 dogs (Django, Gator, Blair, Ruby), 2 cats (Max, Nilson), as well as their rabbits, chickens, pigeons and ducks. Dr. Leto's special interests have always been internal medicine, critical care, ultrasound and meeting the challenges of complicated cases.
