Dr. Distefano is originally from the Northeast but considers the Midwest home. She is a big Buckeye fan, having graduated from The Ohio State University for her undergraduate and veterinary degrees. After veterinary school, she completed her rotating internship here at VCA AVCC, followed by an oncology specialty internship at Auburn University. She then returned to Ohio State to complete her residency in medical oncology and a master's degree in translational pharmacology. Dr. Distefano enjoys helping her patients and their families through a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Distefano can be found trying new coffee shops, cheering on OSU sports with her husband, enjoying the pool whenever possible, and spending time with her two bunnies.
