Larissa is originally from Brooksville, Florida, and has been working in the veterinary field since 2016. Her love for animals started at her family's farm in Costa Rica when she was just two years old, leading her to become active in the Brooksville Sr. FFA, showing steers and rabbits.
Larissa started working for VCA in August 2020 and transferred to Indiana in May 2022, where you may recognize her from VCA Companion. She began working full-time in the Emergency Department at VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center in January 2025. Larissa's favorite part of working at our hospital is being able to help clients and their beloved pets during their most difficult times, at all hours of the day and night, 365 days a year.
Her pets include a Lab/Pit mix named Georgia, a tortoiseshell cat named Sugar Plum, and a chinchilla named Melvin. When she's not at work, Larissa enjoys spending time on the water, hiking in nature, traveling, and line dancing.
