Beth Hamper
Veterinary Specialist DVM, PhD, DACVIM (Nutrition)

Dr. Hamper was born and raised in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. She completed her undergraduate degrees in nursing, animal science and music at the University of Minnesota and her DVM from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation she worked in feline exclusive practices in Chicago and Washington D.C. before completing a small animal medicine internship at Veterinary Specialty Center in Indianapolis in 2005-2006. From there, she traveled to the University of Tennessee to complete a combined small animal nutrition residency and PhD program in comparative medicine (nutrition and immunology). Dr. Hamper became board-certified in veterinary nutrition in 2011. Her clinical interests include feline nutrition, nutritional immunology, and gastrointestinal health and disease. Dr. Hamper is passionate about providing optimal dietary care and information to referring veterinarians, and pet owners.
