Dr. Matthew Price was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. He obtained an undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia. Following that, he went to the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine where he developed an interest in internal medicine. After graduating from veterinary school, he then completed both a rotating internship and residency in small animal internal medicine at NC State. Dr. Price is particularly interested in gastrointestinal disease and immune-mediated conditions. In his free time he enjoys working out, spending time with his pets (two dogs and a cat), cooking, and watching movies.
