Laura Barr

Registered Veterinary Technician

Laura graduated with a veterinary nursing degree in 2015 and became a registered veterinary technician (RVT) in 2016. After spending two years in general practice, she discovered a strong passion for emergency and critical care, leading her to transition to this specialty in 2017. Since then, Laura has dedicated herself to emergency/critical care nursing and has been thriving in the field for nearly eight years.

She thrives in the fast-paced, ever-evolving environment of emergency care, enjoying the challenge of staying on her toes while continuously expanding her knowledge and skills. One of her favorite aspects of her work is the opportunity to form close bonds with her patients and their families during critical moments.

Laura is an active member of the Veterinary Emergency Critical Care Society (VECCS) and the Society for Veterinary Medical Ethics. She is a certified Cat Friendly Veterinary Professional (CFVP) and is proud to be RECOVER BLS & ALS Instructor Certified.

At home, Laura is a dedicated owner to:
Five cats — Shadow Lynn, Jazzman Jane, Suri Ann, Boots Robert MaGoots, and Cheese N'Crackers
Two dogs — Rosetta Grace and Loretta Doris Lynn.
