Dr. Katie Cox has spent most of her life in Arizona. Always interested in veterinary medicine, she enrolled and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Washington State University. GO Cougs! After graduation, she moved back to Arizona to start her veterinary career and to be closer to family.

Prior to joining VCA Thumb Butte family in 2021, Dr. Cox spent over six years in a veterinary hospital in Surprise, Arizona.

Dr. Cox enjoys working with cats and dogs, along with their owners. She understands the wonderful bond that humans form with their pets. It is her belief that working in conjunction with people and their pets creates the best possible relationships for all.

She lives in Prescott with her two adorable young daughters. When not exploring nature, Dr. Cox loves reading and baking. She shares her home with two border collie mixes named Snickers and Rolo, along with three cats.
