Associate Veterinarian DVM

Veterinary medicine is truly my passion! When I was 7 years old, my pet hamster got very sick and I took him to the vet. I took care of him day and night, and at that moment, I knew I wanted to become a veterinarian. I wanted to help animals and their families when they need it most.

I was born and raised in Mexico City, where I obtained my degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, the only certified AVMA University in Latin America. After passing all the tests required to practice in Massachusetts, I moved to the US in 2014. I have been practicing Veterinary Medicine in the South Coast ever since.

Before my formal education in Veterinary Medicine, I worked since a very young age at different veterinary clinics as a technician and surgery assistant. I continued to work throughout my studies to gain more knowledge and experience in as many areas as I could. During my last year of college education, I conducted a special surgery program at Willamate Valley Animal Hospital (Oregon), and at ASEC (California). This experience gave me a particular interest in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, which I continue to study and practice as much as I can, including yearly theoretical and practical courses.

I like to be thorough when examining my patients. Taking a little extra time allows us to explore any underlying conditions that can impact the quality of life of our pets. I like to provide family members with a comprehensive explanation of my findings and answer as many questions as they have during and after their visit. Our animals are family members, too, and they deserve nothing but the best from us!

In my spare time, I like to explore the world! Whether it is on a bicycle, kayak, running, or climbing, I am always looking for adventure. My husband and our Aussie, Kal-El, are always pushing me and accompanying me in every new challenge and adventure.
