Michael Rocha
Associate Veterinarian DVM

Dr. Rocha grew up in Belmont, Massachusetts, and was always fascinated with medicine and science. He grew up with several pets including dogs, guinea pigs, parakeets, and a gecko—all of which led to an easy career choice in veterinary medicine! His veterinary interests include preventative care, geriatric care, surgery and alternative therapies. He has completed the Fear Free Veterinary Certification Program, and believes a visit to the veterinarian should be as stress free as possible for the pet and owners alike! He enjoys general practice because of the opportunity to form trusting relationships with families over the course of their pet's life.

He received his Bachelor's degree in Biology with a Minor in Psychology from Northeastern University. During his time in Boston he enjoyed going to baseball games at Fenway Park, as well as walking Boston Common and Harvard Square. He also volunteered at the MSPCA in the cat room, and worked as a technician assistant at a small animal veterinary clinic in the city. After graduating from Northeastern, he completed his veterinary education at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, and earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.

He currently lives in Plymouth with a Rottweiler mix named Mia and a Boxer mix named Murphy! In his free time he enjoys kayaking, hiking, camping, gardening, playing video games and watching Star Trek. One of his favorite summer time activities is golfing with his identical twin brother. His family also gathers yearly to make homemade "Rocha Red" wine, a family tradition that he hopes to always continue.
