Dr. Suzy Jones has been a small animal veterinarian in the Santa Fe area for over ten years. She graduated from Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine following her master's and bachelor's degrees in Microbiology from Eastern New Mexico University. Dr. Jones's professional interests include internal medicine, nutrition and gastroenterology, cardiac and abdominal ultrasound, and preventative care.
Her interest in veterinary medicine began at a young age when she spent summers with both grandparents on their cattle ranches on the Laguna Pueblo reservation and outside of Portales, New Mexico. Other experiences such as raising Holstein dairy calves on a dairy farm, working for ambulatory dairy veterinarians, and practicing applied microbiology in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory solidified her desire to become a veterinarian.
Dr. Jones is honored to have the opportunity to care for and build relationships with her patients and clients. She is very excited to begin a new chapter as part of the wonderful team at VCA Arrighetti. She loves calling Santa Fe “home” and lives with her family, three “Pet-A-Bulls” rescue dogs, and two canaries. When she's not vetting, she enjoys working out, studying herbs and traditional Chinese veterinary medicine, skiing, hiking, and tending to her 200+ houseplants and garden.
