Dr. Lauren Torres grew up in Albuquerque, NM, and has lived in Santa Fe since starting her professional veterinary career in 2014. Ever since she can remember, Lauren has always loved all animals (except spiders) and knew becoming a veterinarian was her calling in life. Lauren attended New Mexico State University where she obtained her bachelor's degrees in Animal Science and Biochemistry, and then was accepted to and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University.

While she appreciates all aspects of veterinary medicine, Lauren's special career interests include the complexities and problem solving of internal medicine, the challenges and surprises of emergency medicine, and witnessing the human-animal bond daily.

In her free time, Lauren enjoys binge-watching trashy reality TV, playing video games, going to concerts, and spending time with her husband and their management team (three cats - Kirby, Snow and Bruce).
