Dr. Schweiger joined VCA Broadway Animal Hospital in July 2023. She is from Barton, NY, and graduated from Alfred University with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Schweiger earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. When asked what her favorite part about being a veterinarian is, Dr. Schweiger says, "I love being able to help treat sick animals and nurture them back to health. I also enjoy educating pet owners about specific diseases and their prevention." Her professional interests also include dermatology and ophthalmology.

Outside of work, Dr. Schweiger enjoys traveling. So far she has traveled to six countries and twelve U.S. states. Someday, she hopes to visit all 50 states! Dr. Schweiger also loves spending time with her two cats, Luna and Peach.
