Maggie Zych, Medical Director

Dr. Maggie Trefney is originally from the first state, Delaware that is. She got her bachelor's degree at Virginia Tech, Go Hokies! She then headed west to get her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University. She is thrilled to be up here in Alaska and to be part of the VCA East Anchorage team. At home she has a cat named Zeppelin, a beta fish named Charlie, and a dog named Einstein which she adopted from Friends of Pets. In her spare time she enjoys doing anything outside, especially hiking and camping and fishing. Maggie also volunteers at the Bird Treatment and Learning Center, rehabbing injured wild birds.
