Jocelyn is a veterinary assistant at VCA North Rockville Animal Hospital in Rockville, Maryland, where she supports the veterinary team in providing thoughtful, compassionate care for pets and the families who love them. She believes that helping pets stay healthy starts with strong communication and education so clients feel confident in the care their pets receive.
Jocelyn earned her Bachelor of Science in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences from Penn State University in 2023. Wanting to continue building hands-on experience in the medical field, she joined the team at VCA North Rockville Animal Hospital, where she could expand her knowledge while supporting patient care.

Jocelyn is surgery-certified and assists the veterinary team in supporting patients before, during, and after procedures. She enjoys continuing to expand her medical knowledge while helping create a calm, supportive experience for pets during their visits.
Jocelyn also has a special interest in working with anxious cats and understands that many pets feel nervous in a veterinary setting. Through patience, gentle handling, and a calm approach, she focuses on helping feline patients feel more comfortable and secure during their visits.
“My goal is to focus on prevention and education so pets can stay happy and healthy for as long as possible.
Jocelyn is also continuing her education and is currently pursuing an Associate Degree in Nursing, expected in 2027. Her commitment to continued learning reflects her dedication to expanding the knowledge she brings to patient care each day.
