VCA Mountain Vista Animal Hospital is proud to serve the Las Vegas NV area for everything pet related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Jeanette Sessions.
Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise. VCA Mountain Vista Animal Hospital stays on top of the latest advances in veterinarian technology and above all, remembers that all animals and pets need to be treated with loving care in every check-up, procedure, or surgery.
I am a native Las Vegan that returned home after going away to college. I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2002 with a BS in Animal Science and then moved to Colorado State University where I attained my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. I joined the MVAH healthcare team after my graduation in June of 2006.
A love for animals and their human companions inspired me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. I firmly believe in promoting the bond- centered practice, which focuses on supporting the relationship between humans and their animal companions. I love being a guide through this relationship- from the exciting (and chaotic!) puppy/kitten years though the comfortable adult time and all the way to the senior years including difficult (yet important) end of life issues. Pain management is an interest of mine, so I became a certified veterinary acupuncturist in 2008. It is truly a gift to be able to work with people who care about their pets as much as our clients.
While I do love my job, I also take pleasure in my time off! I especially enjoy any activity with my pitbull mix, Pearl, but our favorite activities are snuggling and hanging out with my cat Maya. Other hobbies include reading, travel, and my addiction to several television shows. I also volunteer at Heaven Can Wait Animal Sanctuary’s feral cat clinic and help out with spay/neuter clinics.
After giving 20 years of service to VCA Mountain Vista Animal Hospital, it really is a second home to me. I am truly invested in seeing MVAH grow. It is always enjoyable for me to welcome all our clients, patients, and to see our team members flourish and become family. I am pursuing new continuing education that has me excited for the challenges of practice management. My furry family consists of Popeye (Yorkshire terrier), B.B.Q. (pot-bellied pig), and my rabbit, Hallo. Since I was young, fostering and nursing abandoned kittens, puppies, and birds has always been close to my heart, and where my interest for the veterinary field was sparked.
