Makena considers herself born and raised in Alaska, and has grown up around all species of animals. She is currently attending UAA in the hopes of going to veterinary school after she has completed her bachelor's degree. Makena was very excited to join our team here at VCA Eagle River and enjoys being in a small animal hospital, although she has a special place in her heart for horses!
When not working or at school, you can find Makena riding horses and teaching lessons to other aspiring equestrians at a local family-friendly barn in Chugiak.
