Dr. Kathryn Martell graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. She moved to Alaska and joined VCA Eagle River in 2000. She enjoys internal medicine cases, especially Oncology and Endocrinology. Dr. Martell is the Area Medical Director for VCA Alaska and Washington hospitals and also works for VCA in professional relations for the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii. When not working at the hospital or traveling for VCA, Dr. Martell enjoys snow skiing, scuba diving, hiking and traveling with her husband, Jay, and daughter, Camille.
Teresa joined the VCA family as a registered veterinary technician in September 2010. Originally from Northern California, she moved to Barrow, Alaska, in 2001 and worked for the North Slope Borough for eight years as a veterinary technician, animal control officer, and lay vaccinator for Barrow and seven surrounding villages. Although she enjoyed the adventures of the great North, it was time to move her family closer to the Anchorage area, and she has lived in Eagle River ever since.
