Dr. Christine Wakuzawa, DVM, was born and raised on Oʻahu. She graduated from ʻIolani School in 2016 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in 2020. She graduated from Oregon State University Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine in 2025 and completed a small-animal rotating internship at VCA Animal Specialty Group in Los Angeles in 2026.
Dr. Wakuzawa first joined VCA in 2017, working as a veterinary assistant at VCA University Animal Hospital in Mānoa for four years before attending veterinary school. Becoming a veterinarian had been a dream of hers since she was eight years old, and she especially values building meaningful relationships with pets and their families throughout every stage of their lives. Her professional interests include internal medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Wakuzawa enjoys playing video games, visiting farmers' markets, going to the movies, and spending time with her family, friends, and her Chiweenie, Eevee.
