Dr. Josie Belle Garcia is from Newark, New Jersey. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology with a Focus in Environmental Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University-Morristown, NJ. Dr. Garcia attended Ross University of Veterinary Medicine, St. Kitts & Nevis, and completed her clinical year with a mixed animal track at The Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. She recently graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2024.
Dr. Garcia has a focus in preventive care, comfort and health of both feline and canine companion, and has an interest in equine medicine, holding both Fear Free certificate for companion animals and equids. She has a particular interest in advanced imaging, soft tissue surgery and medical oncology.
During her time outside the hospital, Dr. Garcia enjoys training her service dog "Pax", hiking, spending time with family and friends, and traveling. In her recent travel to Ecuador, she externed at the Universidad Nacional de Loja where she assisted in laboratory studies, saw patients in the university hospital and ranch, and helped fellow Doctors in one of the military base stables. She hopes to continue to grow in the veterinary field and help all types of companion friends.
