Gerry has been a veterinary technician since 1975 and has been a certified veterinary technician (CVT) since 1988. She was president of the Massachusetts Veterinary Technicians Association (MVTA) and was an active board member as well of the MVTA for many years. Gerry is currently an active member of SMART (State of Mass Animal Response Team). Her career began at the Kindness Animal Hospital from 1975-1980, then at the Weston Veterinary Clinic from 1980-2000 and has been at the VCA Roberts Animal Hospital since September of 2000. Here at VCA Roberts, Gerry had been a technician supervisor from 2000-2013 and then stepped into the role of hospital manager in December of 2013. Gerry's passion has always been to foster newborn kittens and puppies for clients and local shelters where they are referred to as "Gerry's Kids". Gerry has been married to her husband, Gordon, for over 40 years, has three grown children, eight grandchildren, six grand-dogs, five grand-cats and five cats of her own. Gerry's hobbies are camping, hiking, kayaking and spending as much time as she can with her children and grandchildren.
