Dr. Rebecca Laster is the Medical Director at VCA Whispering Pines Animal Hospital. Dr. Laster graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. Her career has been varied, from general practice to emergency and shelter medicine. She holds a graduate certificate in Veterinary Forensics and is an advocate for animal welfare. Her other interests include soft tissue surgery, infectious disease, and diagnostic imaging. Dr. Laster is originally from Sanford and now lives in the area on a farm with her husband, two daughters, and their small zoo including four dogs, two cats, one bird, one bearded dragon, cattle, chicken, turkeys, sheep, and pigs!
