Dr. DeCosta earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis. She owned a veterinary practice in the East Bay and practiced there for 27 years before moving to Sonoma County to retire. Dr. DeCosta is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist with training in traditional Chinese veterinary medicine.

When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Dr. DeCosta says: "I enjoy veterinary medicine because everyday is different - you never know what to expect! The animals and people are diverse and have diverse needs. It is also rewarding to work with this team of dedicated veterinary professionals and help so many pets and people."

In her time off, Dr. DeCosta enjoys volleyball, photography, jet skiing and hiking. She also spends time with Nibbles, her diva cat.
