Joelene attended veterinary school through the University of Alaska, Fairbanks/Colorado State University Collaborative Program and graduated in 2019 as part of the inaugural class of this program. She has loved Alaska since moving here as a kid, and was thrilled to join the VCA Alaska Pet Care veterinary team after graduating. Her medical interests include preventative health, small animal exotics, and dentistry. Joelene is also excited to offer an integrative medicine approach, and does provide acupuncture for pets. Outside of work, she enjoys going hiking with her family, knitting/crocheting, and traveling to new places. Joelene has four dogs of her own to love: Thor, Fiona, Shrek and Donkey.
