Rachel Turner
Hospital Manager

Rachel Turner was born in Bitburg, Germany, when her father was stationed there while serving in the Air Force. However, she spent the better part of her childhood growing up in Alaska and graduated from Chugiak High School. After high school, she worked as a veterinary technician in both Alaska and Oregon, where she worked with animals ranging from snakes, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, birds, dogs and cats. Rachel has personally owned various types of reptiles including snakes, lizards, and alligators. She even had a pet prairie dog at one point in her life. Her love of animals follows her today as she supports the hospital, staff and community.

Rachel shares her house with her husband, Jason, and two children, Breanna (19) and Cody (17). She also has a stepdaughter, Sierra, who lives in Washington raising their two grandsons. The family enjoys gold mining, fishing and camping, when they are in town. She and her husband are active dart players and are looking to win their way back to nationals held in Las Vegas.

Featured in her photo is "Camey Burns" dog Edger, who comes in regularly to assist with reports and emotional support.
