Dr. Curtis Cox was born and raised in Houston and has spent most of his life caring for animals. Before becoming a veterinarian, he worked as a veterinary technician for more than 15 years. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston and his DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, completing his clinical training at Texas A&M University.
For Dr. Cox, veterinary medicine is about much more than treating disease. He believes deeply in the human-animal bond and understands that pets are family. His approach is simple: listen, be genuine, communicate honestly, and care for every patient with compassion. He believes pet owners deserve straightforward answers they can understand and a veterinarian they can trust, especially during difficult moments.
As medical director, Dr. Cox strives to create a hospital where people feel heard, animals are treated with kindness, and the veterinary team works together to provide thoughtful, compassionate medicine. He considers it a privilege to care for God's creatures and to serve the families who entrust them to his care.
Outside of veterinary medicine, the most important part of Dr. Cox's life is his family. He and his wife are raising their daughter and two young sons. He enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, Houston sports, and life at home with their dogs and cat.
