Dr. Nada Khalaf grew up in Beirut, Lebanon. She attended U.C. Davis where she graduated from Veterinary School in 1991 and joined our hospital in January of 1992. Dr. Khalaf is the co-medical director of VCA McClave and has a special interest in internal medicine, continuing education and client communication.
In addition to her role at VCA McClave, Dr. Khalaf serves as Area Medical Director for the greater Los Angeles area, where her main duty is coordinating and overseeing the progress of the new graduates who recently obtained their DVM degree.
Dr. Khalaf is also very involved in organized veterinary medicine. She was the president of the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association for the year 2011. She also served on the House of Delegates to the California Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) from 2008-2014 and was on the CVMA Board of Governors from 2014-2020. She remains involved in many committees and tasks that look into advancing the veterinary field.

Dr. Khalaf has a mini dachshund, Hoodoo, who is a columnist for the Tailwagger. She also has a feisty cat named Cinder and a desert tortoise named Walnut. In her spare time, Dr. Khalaf likes to travel, spend time in Lake Tahoe, hike, play racquetball, read, and spend time with friends and family.
