Maura grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, IL, and then studied Zoology at Michigan State University. After college, she worked as a marine mammal trainer at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. In 2021 Maura moved to Alaska with her husband. Maura now has a son named Conor, and two dogs, Murphy and Holly.
