Dr. Smith graduated from The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. After 2 years in Vermont in general practice he spent 2 more more years at Roberts Animal Hospital with a focus on emergency medicine and emergency surgery. He moved to the Cape and joined Hyannis Animal Hospital in 2006. Dr. Smith became an owner/partner at HAH in 2016 and remains an owner and partner with VCA today. His main focus is surgery, including orthopedics, surgical oncology, emergency, oral and reconstructive surgery. He has a special interest in dentistry and in 2021 earned a certification as a veterinary dental practitioner. Outside the office you can find him underwater off Cape Cod scuba diving, or up north skiing the backcountry.
