Dr. Dion Steenis grew up in San Diego, California and graduated from San Diego State University with degree in Biology. She attended veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences where she graduated with honors. She has worked with many different specialists in Southern California and her medical interests include internal medicine, neurology, cardiology and dermatology. Dr.  Steenis enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and two dogs. She also enjoys horseback riding, traveling, snow skiing and cheering for her husband when he participates in half marathons.
