Dr. Mary Zuromskis (or Dr. Z for short) was born in Maryland, and grew up participating in 4-H, including raising goats and riding horses. She moved to Southern California to complete her bachelor's degree in Anthropology at the University of Southern California. After graduation, Dr. Z worked in the field of primatology studying wild monkeys in places like Costa Rica and Indonesia before deciding she wanted to join veterinary medicine. 

She worked as a veterinary assistant in Orange County and Los Angeles while applying to vet school. Dr Z attended vet school at the University of California, Davis and graduated in 2022. She enjoys all that Southern California has to offer and spending time with her husband and three cats, Aloha, Kali and Halea, and her Golden Retriever, Koufonisi ("Koufee"). In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors camping and hiking or trying a new beer at a local brewery.
