Dr. Catherine Barnes is originally from New Jersey. She first came to Texas to pursue a B.S. in biomedical science from Texas A&M University. She stayed to study veterinary medicine graduating in 2007. After getting her DVM, she returned to New Jersey for an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Barnes then went into private practice in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for three years before deciding to come back to Texas.
In her spare time she enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, watching movies, and attempting to wear out her heeler mix Reggie.
