Daniel Nucci
Veterinary Specialist DVM, MS, DACVS-SA
Dr. Daniel Nucci is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (DACVS-SA). He attended the University of California, San Diego, for his undergraduate studies, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience. He went on to achieve his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at the University of California, Davis, graduating in 2012. Following veterinary school, he completed a one year Small Animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic. Wanting to further explore surgery, Dr. Nucci moved to Ottawa, Canada, where he completed a second year-long internship focusing on small animal surgery at Alta Vista Animal Hospital. Following this internship, he completed a three-year residency in Small Animal Surgery at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. During that time, he also received a Master’s degree in Veterinary Clinical Science.

Dr. Nucci has a special interest in canine orthopedic surgery and minimally invasive surgery including arthroscopy, laparoscopy, thoracoscopy, and techniques that utilize interventional radiology. He has presented nationally on several different topics and was awarded by the ACVS for the best national presentation for his work on minimally invasive thoracic surgery. In his free time, he enjoys living an active lifestyle that includes hiking, camping, snowboarding, and spending time with his wife, son, two dogs, and a one-eyed cat.
