Our Team

Dr. Beyers grew up in a small town in central Illinois. He graduated from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. Afterward, Dr. Beyers continued on to St. George University Veterinary School in Grenada, West Indies. He completed his fourth-year clinical rotations at the University of Tennessee.

Dr. Beyers joined the VCA family in early 2016 as a relief doctor. He quickly realized how much he loved the Joliet staff and patients which led to his recent acceptance of the MD position at VCA Joliet. He enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine, but dentistry and internal medici...

Dodi began her career in the veterinary field as a part-time receptionist in 1986. Since then, she has worn many hats in the hospital—from working in kennels to technician assistant. In 1993, she was promoted to hospital manager at our Wilmington facility and later transferred to VCA Joliet as manager in 2001.

Outside of work, Dodi raises and shows Bull Terriers. She’s married with two children and three grandchildren. Dodi enjoys gardening and cheering on the Cubs!
