Dr. Marie Chartier grew up in Central Massachusetts before obtaining a bachelor's degree in Biology at Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI. She then attended veterinary school at Louisiana State University. She returned home to complete a one-year rotating internship at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston. In 2010, she moved to San Diego, CA and completed a three-year residency in small animal Internal Medicine at Veterinary Specialty Hospital. Her research was focused on gastrointestinal/pancreatic disease during this time. She has practiced in the Boston area since and is happy to join the VCA Roberts team as many family members grew up in the area and brought their pets to the VCA Roberts hospital. She has many professional interests including gastrointestinal disease, renal disease, endocrinology and immune-mediated disease. She enjoys Boston sports, cooking, traveling, and many New England activities with her husband, two children and their pets.
