Dr. Stephanie Powers is the medical director at VCA Roberts Animal Hospital and is available for urgent care and wellness appointments.
Dr. Powers grew up on the South Shore in Norwell, Massachusetts, and graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Hingham. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Fairfield University in Connecticut, where she served as captain of the equestrian team. She then attended the Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island in Canada, earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
Following veterinary school, Dr. Powers completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in Weymouth. She went on to practice as an emergency veterinarian at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in Woburn before joining the team at VCA Roberts Animal Hospital in 2016.
Dr. Powers' professional interests include emergency medicine, toxicology, and dermatology. She is also an avid sporting dog enthusiast.
Outside of work, Dr. Powers enjoys horseback riding, boating, spending time at the beach year-round, and cheering on her three sons as a proud hockey mom. She lives in Norwell with her husband, who is also a veterinarian, their three boys, and their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Summer.
