Dr. Murphy grew up riding horses and teaching kids to ride before receiving her BA from Tufts University in Medford. After running competitively for a few years and working as a veterinary technician, she went to England to attend the Royal College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated in 2010, became a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and worked in a practice doing small animal, farm animal, and equine medicine in Hertfordshire, England before moving back to the Boston area in 2012. She joined VCA Roberts in May 2014, but has been working in an animal related field since 2000. She fully enjoys working with the wonderful and talented staff here at Roberts. Her professional interests include internal medicine and preventative medicine.
Her favorite part of her job is connecting with people and helping them care for their pets, and of course, she enjoys making friends with her patients! In her free time, she can be found chasing her three active kids around, walking her dog (a 7-year-old pit mutt named Cubby), running, hiking, baking chocolate chip cookies or doing yoga.
